Hello potential waddlers,
Waddlefield is now available for sale, but there are a couple of concerns that I’d like to address. These issues are compounded by the fact that Gameloft and EA (among others) have just begun a Thanksgiving sales, dropping prices drastically. It’s making people think before they purchase.
Price Drop. Waddlefield is for sale for $1.99 USD. This price will not change. It will not be lowered to $0.99 cents in the attempt to scrounge a few more sales. It will remain this same price when Chapter 2, and Chapter 3 is released. I do not want anyone who supported the development of this game to feel burned by “not waiting for the price drop.”
Future Development. Actions speak louder than words, and my actions in the coming months will prove more powerful than any text I can put on a website or in a blog. Waddlefield Chapter 2 and 3 will be developed and released, regardless of how successful it sells. If you’re hesitant, then wait a month, wait until the next update and consider supporting Waddlefield then. You’ll be without Waddlefield for a whole month, but if that’s what it takes to get your support then wait and see.
Is the game complete or not? Waddlefield (Chapter 1) is a complete game. It has 5 levels of a story mode and an endless free play mode. The whole game is there. Chapter 2 and 3 are simply additions to the store mode. In those updates will also be updates and optimization, but the complete game itself is in the App Store right now.
The bottom line is I would rather have you not buy the game, than buy the game and be disappointed or remorseful. If you support Waddlefield, know that you’re supporting future development of this game and other future projects. If you’re not sure, then just keep track of progress via this blog. I’m not going to try to fool or mislead you. I want people who enjoy some strategy gaming with a cute twist. For those of you who have or plan on purchasing Waddlefield, best of luck chasing down the llama!
